Maple Spice Cupcakes

My family loves real maple syrup. Especially my husband; he's been known to drink from the syrup bottle. Tsk, tsk.  He doesn't do it anymore (that I know of) since he got caught red handed one day. What is it with me drinking from containers anyway?? It drives me crazy, but I can't blame him though, it's so good.  I created these cupcakes because we love Maple so much plus I've been seeing recipes for pumpkin every where...and I figured I'd spice it up a bit and share something not pumpkin.

1 tsp salt

2 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

3/4 cup real maple syrup

2/3 cup milk

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup butter

4 ounces cream cheese

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 - 11/2 cups powdered sugar

2-4 tbs. milk

Preheat oven to 350

In a separate bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon. Set aside

In a mixing bowl cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs beating after each one. Add maple syrup and vanilla. Add Milk and flour mixture alternately until well combined.

Line a cupcake pan with liners and distribute batter evenly, using a cookie scoop. Bake for 15-20 until done.

Let cool

In a mixing bowl combine butter and cream cheese. Add cinnamon and beat in sugar. Add milk.
