Hello Wednesday! I've been busy working that's why I haven't been able to post until today. Which is a good thing because come the New Year, hours will be cut way down and I'll be lucky if I get 10 hours a week. It's good in one way because then I'll have more time to spend on this bloggity blog. In between work I've been attempting to do some last minute DIY things for Christmas but everything I seem to try keeps flopping. Oh well! I attempted to make Barbie clothes, and I did make a couple things but…once I tried to brave the sewing machine again, it went downhill.
I really tried to like sewing. I've tried it on numerous occasions with various projects but it stresses me out. It makes me sweat, makes my heart palpitate and makes me angry. Fun stuff shouldn't make you angry. I keep jabbing my fingers with pins and when I use the sewing machine I keep getting my finger caught under the knobby thing near the foot (I think it's the knob to adjust or switch needles). I can't even figure out how to hold the fabric to guide it so it doesn't bunch up. Ugh, It's not fun. It's stressful and frustrating. I tried to like it but I don't. I'm hanging it up for good. I'll sew in an emergency, but even that is questionable. I don't like sewing. Sewing is right up there with math *shudder*. Any craft or clothing or décor -anything- that involves sewing, I will stick the store bought version.
One thing I do love though, is cooking! I can never have too many recipes…my husband begs to differ, but I don't think so. I decided to do the amazing task of organizing my stash. Whoa! What job and I'm not even done. I didn't realize how many recipes I actually had. Here's a few photos but I'll get into detail in another post.
One of my goals for the new year is to try a couple of new recipes each week. Just so I can get rid of the bad ones, and keep the ones I like and the ones that need a little tweaking and share them with you guys.
That's all I've got for today. I can't believe Christmas is in just around the corner! Where the heck did the month go?
