Homemade Pizza Dough.

Thank goodness my husband and son love pizza because we've been eating a ton of it lately. I'm beginning to think my son might start classifying it as it's own food group soon…at least it is homemade, right? Homemade is always better. I love a good old greasy cheese pizza from a pizza joint ,  don't you? But we don't need all that extra grease and whatever other junk is in it, so, I've been making my own.  I've experimented with many recipes  I've come up with the perfect homemade thin crust pizza dough. Because you only need ingredients that you already have on hand, it's very frugal to make too.

This thin crust pizza dough is so simple and easy to make, especially if you have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer.

Lately I've been making thin crust pizza because it is so easy and simple to make.

Here's what you need:

3 1/2 - 4 1/2 cups of flour
5 tsp quick rise yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 1/2 cups of warm water

Mix flour, yeast and salt in a bowl; I use my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Add oil and water. Mix until it is combined. Switch to the dough hook and process for about 5 more minutes until the dough forms a ball.

Shape into a ball and let it rest for 10 minutes. Divide dough into equal potions and roll out. Make pizza as desired. Bake at 450 degrees for about 15 minutes until crust is slightly browned. Let it cool slightly then cut.

Pizza combinations are endless, that is why I didn't write specifics here. My favorite though, is still pepperoni. What's your favorite?  All you need is a few ingredients and a little imagination and you've got yourself a delicious homemade pizza.
