Homemade fast food burgers

So umm, I thought Spring was supposed to be happening in a few days, why on earth is it 15 degrees with snow in the forecast for tonight? Anyone else having crazy weather? I thought we were done with snow. I guess that's what happens when you live in New England.  This weather is unpredictable, you'd never guess that it was 55 degrees a few days ago.

To warm up and get us thinking about the upcoming Spring we had burgers the other night. Not just any burgers, but copy cat Big Macs. Oh were they yummy and incredibly messy. When making the burgers patties, press them as thin as you possibly can because these ended up tasting almost exactly like the real things.

For the sauce:

1/2 cup Mayonnaise (I used Cains because it's slightly sweeter)
3 tbls. Russian Dressing
1/2 tsp sweet relish
1/2 tsp dill relish
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried onion
1 tbls. Apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. ketchup.

For the Burgers

1 lb ground beef, divided in 6 potions
Salt & Pepper
6 burger buns
6 Cheddar cheese slices

Mix all ingredients for the sauce in bowl, then cover and refrigerate until ready to use.  Press burgers as thin as you can and season with salt and pepper.

Cook until desired doneness; because they will be thin they won't take too long to cook. Top with cheddar cheese and let rest. Assemble burger then Enjoy.

Serve with fries and you've got the perfect fast food meal, made at home.
