It totally feels like a Monday today! I don't have anything interesting so I'll just recap last week...Fun, right? HAHa! Okay, here it goes. Some things about last week.
…I went grocery shopping. Exciting, huh?
…the weather was gorgeous! I love the sun!
…My husband discovered some really awesome music at the beginning of the week and I've been jamming to it ever since. I love club music and anything with a great beat. There's so much good music out there, it would be nice if the radio played something other than the same 10 songs.
...I rediscovered my love for dancing. I've never been to a club, well once when I went to Ireland but I love the music but I'm too embarrassed to dance in public, and I barely ever drinks, so.... Can we say dance party for one!? I blame the music :) It puts me in a great mood and gets me motivated. I can't listen to 'relaxing' music it makes me depressed…weird, but I can't.
…My husband is awesome. Just thought I'd throw that out there :) He's the only person I've never had to change for and I love him more and more everyday.
… I still hate working weekends
…I realized I probably will never be happy "picking one thing" so I'm just going to do my own thing. I'm much happier that way. I like too many things to just pick one thing. Maybe that's crazy to some but it works for me.
…I added a few things to my ever growing list of things I would enjoy or like to learn.
…I learned that I actually can sew! I made some drawstring bags with some funky 70's (?) fabric my mother in law gave me. I sewed a pillow with more fabric that she gave me. It doesn't match my décor though. I was feeling crazy so I broke out some ribbed knit that I had bought a long time ago and made myself a tank top…that…well, won't be making a debut in public…my hems are weird because the fabric kept moving but hey I made a tank that good enough to wear for pj's and, it didn't fall apart when I washed it! I also made another bookmark which came out better than the last one.
….my son applied for a job. He's almost 7 and likes to help out with everything and do everything himself. He's also great with gadgets and technology as has shown us a few things. My husband was in the middle of filling out an application for a job when there was a knock at the door. He left it up and went to answer the door. Well he was talking and when he came back Jacob was sitting at the computer with a cheeky smile. "I filled out your interview daddy! I'm a big helper!" he was so proud of himself. John thought he had just closed the window, but when he went to restart the application it stated that he couldn't apply again because he had already submitted the application. Yikes. Lesson learned, don't leave anything important within reach of an independent 6 year old who knows how to use a computer as equally as most adults. He probably won't get that job, but at least we have a great story to tell! Or maybe he will and it will be an even better story….I'm not counting on that though.
…It's called a rough draft for a reason.
…I still love writing <3
…I bought a new book to add to my ever growing collection. One can never have too many books.
Was your week as uninteresting as mine? Ha! Have a great Monday…or at least try to. Monday and Great aren't normally found in the same sentence.
