Monday Ramblings and Some Photos

Well hello Monday! How the heck are you? Not Monday, we all know how Mondays usually are…How are you?,  the person reading this oh so wonderful post. *wink* Today's post will probably be kind of boring, unless of course you like to look at photos.  And what blog reader doesn't like photos? Isn't that why we read blogs? Oh wait, that's what Pinterest is for, Ha! But if it weren't for blog pictures, Pinterest probably wouldn't be in existence. Hmmm...

I could live in the kitchen if it were up to me. I love to cook. In some ways I wished I had gone to culinary school after high school like I had wanted to but I didn't so there's no sense on dwelling on what can't be changed. I always dreamed of opening a bakery/breakfast place or even a small little hole in the wall restaurant, but, that's over and done with.  I can still cook without going to school for it, and who knows, maybe one day I will  follow that dream. Until then, I'll stick with this blog.

My kitchen at the moment is kind of boring looking. I have all this décor but I'm having trouble finding the right placement for everything.

It's like embellishing a scrapbook layout -- the hardest part. I can get the layout of the photos down pat, but I struggle with the details. Except instead of a paper layout, this is my home. I have the furniture placement perfect, now I just need to figure out the decor. That's the fun part though. It takes me longer than most, but eventually I get it. Oh well!

I did get my rugs down though. That's a start, right?

Okay, enough with the analogies. I've been busy in the kitchen. Here are a few things I made this week.

Onion and Mushroom Pizza. You can use this crust I posted about earlier. One word of advice when making homemade pizza -- to prevent sogginess turn your oven to at least 500. Who likes soggy wet crust? Not me. Ick.

Guacamole. I seriously love this stuff. It tastes so good and it's good for you. Recipe to come, so stay tuned.

Hamburger Corn casserole. Recipe to come. Not really sure why it's called a casserole, it's more like a hamburger helper type thing, but homemade of course. So creamy and so good.

Last but not least, more pancakes! I went to make my original recipe that I posted about here, well, I didn't make sure I had all the ingredients (milk!) so I had to tweak it and will be posting the recipe soon too. I actually think I like these almost as much as my original ones.

I take a lot of pictures of my food. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but hey, I don't care. I even have pictures of the contents of my pantry/storage area, and my cabinets. I may just be creating a scrapbook layout about it. Yes, we {serious} scrapbookers take pictures of EVERYTHING.

Oaky, enough with that. Have you made anything yummy lately?
