Budget Decorating: Dollar Tree Style

I was kind of bored yesterday so I headed over to the Dollar Tree. Since my budget isn't very large for decorating I was on the lookout of some fall décor. I love decorating but I don't have much décor stock because my other apartment was so oddly laid out, there wasn't really any logical places to decorate. It's hard to explain. This place though! I feel like I could go on a decorating frenzy.  I love it.

Even though we've been here since the beginning of August we still have some boxes that need unpacking. Like I said…budget. We still need bookshelves and we're looking into making a reading nook type area next to the desk. I've been scoping out thrift stores for book selves but haven't had any luck finding anything decent as of yet. I'll keep looking. As for a chair for the reading nook, we will be buying that new. I know people buy used couches and things all the time but it just skeeves me out buying couches used.

The only room that is full decorated right now is my kitchen. The most important room. :) I love cooking if you guys haven't figured that out yet. Can you tell from this photo what else I love besides cooking? Now it's decorated for fall too. When I was at the Dollar tree I picked up a few packs of artificial leaves and a scarecrow. Even though it's not much, I have some sense of fall in my home. Now I can't wait to *eventually* get the rest of this place decorated.

Well, that's all I've got for today! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. See you Monday!
