Homemade Lunchable

Hey there! Can you believe it's Thursday? Where did the week go? I think it's going by fairly quickly.  How about you?  This week has been kind of relaxed. The weather has been so weird though. The other day it was so cold I had to wear Jeans and a sweatshirt. Now it's hot and humid and muggy. Yesterday was 98 degrees. That's New England weather for you though!

Now that school is in full swing, I've been trying to come up with some less boring lunches. I'm sure my son doesn't mind eating a sandwich every day but, honestly, I get sick of making the same old thing. Don't you?  I want variety! And what's better way to get variety than to make than a homemade lunchable? And what kid doesn't like  lunchables? My son loves lunchables but I VERY rarely by them. To me, they just seem so expensive for something I could put together myself…and I get sneak some fruit in there. ;)

When I'm making homemade lunchables rather than spend  my money  on sliced  lunch meat at the deli   I always am on the lookout for lunchmeat ends, in the refrigerator near the deli. Lunch meat ends are usually cheaper than buying sliced lunch meat and they work perfectly for lunchables because you can cut them to size without wasting anything.

And for around $3 I've got a week or more worth of lunch meat for homemade lunchables.

  1. This is perfect! I bet your son loves this!

  2. This is an awesome idea!! Those lunchables are so expensive, and I'm really not sure why!

Don't be shy! Stop by and say hello!
