Hello! December already??? Whoa this year is zooming by fast! How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was great! Very laid back, as most of my holidays are. I like it them that way. For me, it makes them more enjoyable! I've been working at lot so I haven't had much time to spend on the computer.
Well, That's a lie. I've been on the computer but I haven't been browsing the web and reading blogs. I've been working on some Christmas printable for you guys. (and some other stuff) Aren't I sweet? ;) I love creating, so why not spread some of that creativity to you. Especially this time of year. Here's a preview. The link will be below. I'm going to make you sit through reading this post before providing the link….or you could just scroll. HA!
I've been doing a lot of thinking….uh oh, I know. I think WAY TOO MUCH. I've been looking for a job everywhere… with no luck. I'm not even being picky. I'll take anything at this point. I'm not complaining though. I'm using it sign that I need to think of alternatives and use what I know. So, what's my plan?
Hmmm, I'll tell you a little. It has to do with these printable. NEVER in a million years did I think something with graphic design would be something I would consider as a career. I majored in it in college, not because I had a desire to draw and create but because going to a community college was all I could afford and I didn't want to take up a major that felt like school. Heck, I had never even really drawn before that. I wanted to go to school for culinary but my situation at the time didn't allow for me to take that path. I ended up liking it, but I didn't really taking it seriously because it wasn't something I even considered doing as a career. It was fun. Well, life happened and I stopped going for one reason or another. After a few years hiatus, trying to go back to school, and many major changes later, I've come to a conclusion.
I have a lot of interests. That's not my conclusion though :) I'm going to *try* to dip my toes back in to the graphic design thing…on the side for now. I have no experience other than a few things I've created for myself and you guys here. I've been teaching myself the ins and outs of Inkscape (free!) for a few months now, and I think I know if fairly well to get started. For the time being, I've been making some digital scrapbooking kits, and paper, and elements and hope by the beginning of the year to open an Etsy store, selling them and other related things. I'm not expecting to be a millionaire, or a thousandaire….or a hundredaire. Are those even words? lol I like doing it, and I enjoy it so why not try it out. Along with everything else I do. -- writing, blogging, scrapbooking, creating, cooking -- . I'm just going to do it and see where it takes me, because, Hey, you never know right? I'll show you a peek of those and maybe I'll have a free sample kit, or another printable in the near future.
Now that I've made you sit through that here is the link to print out these tags: Free Christmas Tag Printable
*yes I realize that one of then doesn't have the To and From. I did that on purpose because I thought the tag looked cute as is.*
