Brrrrrrrr! It's chilly out there! Even after starting my car this morning for 10 minutes it still ran kind of rough and didn't end up warming up completely until I was pulling back in to my driveway. Don't you love when that happens? But I guess that's understandable considering it was 6°! Chilly. At least there is no snow. I will take freezing temperatures over no snow any day. Enough talk about winter
Last night I headed to the grocery store. I needed some fruit and a few other essentials. It was a bit before dinner so I decided to just pick something up while I was there. I wasn't sure what I wanted though. That's when I hit the bread aisle and saw pita bread. I knew then exactly what I wanted.
Chicken Cesar Pockets
For as long as I can remember whenever I would go to Papa Gino's rather than order a pizza I ALWAYS ordered the Chicken Cesar Pocket. I'm one of those weird people that actually loves salads. I could eat a salad for every meal. But this pocket is go good, I figured how hard can it be to recreate. Cesar salad is one of the easiest salads to make. So that's when I decided what we were having for dinner.
Chicken Cesar Pocket
1 Package of pita bread
1 large head of romaine lettuce
1/2 bottle (or how much you like) Cesar dressing
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 small rotisserie chicken cut into bite size pieces
Chop letter and place in a bowl. Add chicken, cheese, and dressing. Toss to coat. Cut Pita bread in half and fill with salad. Add croutons. Enjoy
