Okay. So I pretty much know the changes going on at work. There are good points and bad points. On the plus side:
NO MORE NIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hours are pretty much 9-1 (give or take) which work out perfectly.
On the downside:
A lot of our tasks were taken away and given out to the district level which means, even though hours are 9-1, we went from having 78 hours for the week, divided by 3 office associates to having 33 hours a week divided between 3 office associate…
We still have to work weekends.
NO Nights anymore! You think I'm excited???!!!??
I'm essentially in charge of payroll for 100+ employees. I'm assuming since I've been doing it and they have yet to train anyone else I do basics - fix missed punches, move hours, misc adjustments, and commit it weekly. Anything more advanced or previous week adjustments get put in at a district level
This means I'll have more time for blogging and focusing on my Etsy store too. I haven't sold anything, as I haven't expected to yet since I haven't really promoted it much, plus I don't have much in it yet. I am working on it though. I'm working on some summer themed things. Bright and fun.
Speaking of Bright and Fun. Since I am creating elements and kits for digital scrapbooking, it only makes sense that I create some digital layouts myself to showcase how to use them and give ideas, right? Never in a million years did I think I would like digital scrapbooking but things have just led to that. I still love regular scrapbooking, but because of budget reasons I'm not able to print out photos at the moment, so I haven't scrapbooked an actual page in some time, so then I started getting back to my roots of graphic design and decided to create some digital kits --It's like one big crazy cycle. At least now, I'm creating. And not getting discouraged that I have no pictures to create with. When I can, I will get all my layouts printed in one swoop.
This layout I just threw together quickly, using everything available in my etsy store VoonboosoidCreates. I wanted to showcase that just because a collection has a certain "theme" or title, it doesn't mean that those elements can't be used for something else. For this layout I used elements from my Easter kit, washi tape from my fun times paper collection, and washi from my spring washi collection - all for a page about my daily dose of Dunkin Donuts coffee.
This is just a simple layout. The more I create and the more stuff I make, my digital layouts will get more in depth. What do you think?
