Digital Project Life week 7/06

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I've been trying to keep busy. One thing I love about the invention of technology is that you can find out things in an instant…I keep checking the status of my college application. FINALLY all my transcripts were received. Now I just wait for the letter.  I'm sure I'll be fine, since my grades where I previously attended were A's and B's. I do have a D in Pre-calculus though. So that does make me nervous

I definitely don't have a math brain. When it comes to math I can't take shortcuts. I actually understood the material (kind of) once it's explained but I have to do everything out the long way or I get so confused. This is been an ongoing thing, even with tutoring. Shortcuts don't work for me. Well, all my exams had a time limit and when I took the exams, I was screwed because I couldn't take shortcuts so I didn't do very well. On a positive note the problems I did end up solving were correct.

Anyway. Math. Ugh. Lets get to scrapping. Sooooo much better than math

I'd have to say this weeks Project Life is my favorite. Now that I'm getting the hang of it, downloaded some great freebies and actually taking more every day pictures, it's been really fun. I don't know why I didn't start earlier. I thought my life was too boring - which it is - but there is always SOMETHING to scrap about that maybe I wouldn't want to dedicate an entire layout to.

Even though the fourth was the week before, the town I'm living in had a celebration on the 6th. We headed out around 4 when I got out of work. They had carnival games for the kids, a few amusement rides, food concessions and some local bands. A night they had a nice fireworks display. Jacob and I were exhausted and crashed the minute we got home.

Glow sticks….yeah…everything was fine with them until Monday afternoon. I came home from work to finally remove them from the kitchen table only to discover one had leaked and the solution that is in the glow sticks had eaten away at the stain and varnish on my *not even a year old* kitchen table. Oh well, it's not a big deal. I'm not attached to material things. Ruin my photos, destroy my scrapbooks or wipe out my hard drive….I would never stop crying. Seriously. I don't think I would. A table can be replaced. Photographs and memorabilia can't.  At least now, the memory of a fun night is etched there forever. :) Oh course being a scrapbooker, I had to take a photo.

Everything else is pretty much self explanatory. Now to the next page.

When I stopped for gas this week I decided to finally try the 99 cent coffee. Of course since I was getting a coffee, I had to get the little stinker a slushy. I snapped a pic of my coffee then handed him my phone to snap one of his sour apple slush. Before handing the phone back to me, he snapped this photo of me driving. He's definitely the kid of a scrapbooker! He knows what kind of pictures I like! Lol

Later on in the week we went shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop. If you don't have one, you're missing out. They have some great home décor. I also go there to find some unique food items. I was so Excited to find this olive oil again. SERIOUSLY.ITS.THE.BEST. So smooth and actually tastes like olives. No burn or anything. It's just really good.  I can find it on Amazon but it's much more expensive.

I also included a picture of platter I really wanted that matches perfectly with my kitchen decor. Unfortunately, I can't justify spending $12.99 on an item like this right now. All always have the pic. After that we headed up to Wegmans grocery store for lunch in the café.

Pinterest explains itself.

The last thing is the shelf I've been asking to be hung since I moved here. Last August. It's been sitting on the floor since. Finally I decided to just go ahead and hang it myself because I was sick of seeing it.  Now I have a perfect spot for the bookshelves I'm saving up to buy. My books must be so lonely over in storage.

Well that's the recap of my week. Any interesting stories from your week?

  2. These look fantastic! I totally agree with you on thinking my life is too boring for Project Life, but once you get in the habit of it, it's kind of addictive.
